A Fresh, Clean, and Acne-Free Face

A fresh, clean and acne-free face... this is what most teenagers want. But the fact is, most people at some point in their lives have experienced acne. Some experience mild cases while some fail to outgrow their acne way after puberty. There is no one single cause of acne. A variety of causes can cause acne to break out. Generally, the skin becomes predisposed to acne when puberty hits. This is around the time when the sebaceous
glands become active and sebum or oil is produced to lubricate and protect the skin.
In overactive sebaceous glands, excess oil could be produced making the face oily and prone to bacterial overgrowth. When dirt clogs the pores and traps the sebum underneath, the surrounding tissues become inflamed and forms into acne. Only by keeping a clean and fresh face, back and neck you could have an acne-free skin.
You need a good acne facial cleanser that could effectively clean out excess oil and dirt and at the same time one that is gentle enough not to dry out the skin. Mild cases of acne does not really require a dermatologists attention. You just have to clean your face with a good acne facial cleanser and water. There is no truth to particularly oily food causing acne so there is no need to go on a special diet just to get rid of acne. A good cleaning usually does the trick. Most of the facial cleansers in the market today come in variants to suit all skin types. If you have allergies or are prone to skin irritations, it would be good to check out the active ingredients of the acne facial cleanser you are considering and then clearing it with your dermatologist.
